Request deletion of your data
Operated by Cargavia Technologies Inc. — Canadian technology company.
You can ask Cargavia Technologies to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to reasonable verification and the limited retention exceptions described below. This page explains how the process works.
Overview
If you have used a Cargavia Technologies platform — Cargavia, CargaExchange, or Mandivo — or otherwise interacted with us, you can request deletion of personal information we hold about you. Requests can be submitted by email or phone using the channels listed below.
Deletion requests are handled by our operations team and routed to the relevant platform. We will confirm receipt, verify the request, and act on it within the timeframe required by applicable law.
Scope of deletion
A deletion request can cover information such as:
- Account details and profile information.
- Contact information you provided through a form, message, or email.
- Communications you sent or received through our platforms that are identifiable to you.
- Operational records associated with your identity on a specific platform.
Where appropriate, we may anonymize rather than delete information so that aggregate analytics, audit trails, or fraud-prevention records remain usable without identifying you.
How to submit a request
Send a request by one of these channels:
- Email: info@cargavia.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
- Phone: +1 (833) 399-0769 — leave a message if our team is not available; we will return your call.
- Privacy team (alternative): privacy@cargavia.com
Please include:
- Your full name (and business name, if applicable).
- The email address or phone number associated with your account.
- The platform(s) involved (Cargavia, CargaExchange, Mandivo, or this website).
- A short description of the information you want deleted.
- Any information that helps us verify the request.
Verification
To protect against unauthorized deletion requests, we will reasonably verify the identity of the requester before acting. Verification may include confirming the email or phone number associated with the account, or requesting additional context only known to the account holder. We will not request more information than necessary.
If you submit a request on behalf of someone else, we may ask for proof of authority to act on their behalf.
Timing
We will acknowledge requests promptly — typically within a few business days — and act on verified requests within the timeframe required by applicable law. Where a request is more complex, we will let you know and provide an updated timeline.
Retention exceptions
We may retain certain information after a deletion request where required by law or where we have a legitimate operational basis to do so, including:
- Legal, tax, accounting, and compliance recordkeeping obligations.
- Fraud prevention, security investigations, and protection against abuse of our platforms.
- Dispute resolution and enforcement of contractual rights.
- Backups and operational systems, where data will roll off according to standard retention cycles.
- Aggregated or de-identified data that no longer identifies you.
Third-party services
Some of our services rely on third-party providers — including cloud infrastructure, communications providers (such as the WhatsApp Business API), analytics, and security vendors. When you ask us to delete data, we instruct our sub-processors to do the same in accordance with our agreements with them.
Certain third parties may also offer their own user-facing deletion or data-rights processes. Where relevant, you may also wish to exercise those directly with the third party.
Platform-specific deletion
Individual Cargavia Technologies platforms may provide an in-product option to delete your account or data. Where available, that option is the fastest path to deletion. This page covers requests made directly to Cargavia Technologies as the operator of the platform.
For questions about a specific platform's in-product deletion options, contact us at info@cargavia.com.
A note on intent
We take deletion requests seriously and we will not retaliate against good-faith requests. If you are unsure whether your situation qualifies, contact us anyway — we'll let you know.
